We have a few Olive Egger projects on the go here, each fun and unique in their own way.

    F1 (First Generation) Olive Eggers are the very first cross between a brown and a homozygous blue layer, ensuring that their offspring will lay green. We have several different F1 Olive Egger crosses using a variety of breeds on our farm.  We are passionate about our Olive Egger projects and each one was started here from scratch in an effort to create something uniquely our own.

    You will see characteristics of the breeds used for these crosses...some will have fluffy beards and some will have feathered legs. Feather patterns and colours will vary. They have sweet and curious temperaments and make lovely pets. Eggs will vary in shade from sage to olive with some speckles and some with blooms.  All F1 Olive Eggers WILL lay a shade of green. 

     Remember…as these are crosses, the egg the offspring lay will not be the same colour that they hatch from.
